Spirit photography and paranormal imaging have been part of ghost hunting for more than a century, but the way we talk about them today is very different from how early investigators understood the subject. Rather than trying to prove or disprove anything, the aim of this course is to give you the tools to understand how images are created, why unusual effects appear, and how modern investigators approach visual evidence.

Paranormal imaging covers a surprisingly wide range of methods. It includes the earliest spirit photographs captured on glass plates, the dramatic studio portraits of the 19th century, and the accidental ghostly figures that sparked the first wave of public fascination. It also includes techniques that didn't exist back then, such as full-spectrum photography, infrared night vision, thermal imaging, and visual forms of Instrumental Transcommunication.
